Team preview: Austin Peay
Blue Ribbon Yearbook previews the 2005-06 college basketball season, exclusively on Insider.
(Information in this team report is as of October 1.)
Austin Peay's Dave Loos is a veteran coach, and he enters his 20th season with basically a young team.
Loos, however, is counting heavily on two seniors -- 6-2 guard Maurice Hampton and 6-9, 220-pound forward/center Zac Schlader.
"I think we have two really solid seniors in Hampton and Schlader," Loos says. "We need big years from both of them. They give us a good inside-outside combination."
Austin Peay's greatest loss from the 2004-05 team was guard Anthony Davis (15.2 ppg, 5.2 rpg), a second-team All-OVC player.
