COACH AND PROGRAM

The Mountaineers are on their third head coach in three years, former assistant Jason Capel having taken over for Buzz Peterson. Just a year earlier, Peterson was hired to replace Houston Fancher, who had been an assistant under Peterson in his previous stint at Appalachian State from 1996-2000.
