COACH AND PROGRAM

The rebuilding project has been over at Long Island for a couple of years, but an NEC championship continues to elude the Blackbirds.

And this season they will no longer have star guard Jaytornah Wisseh around to help them try to crash the NCAA tournament for the first time since 1997.

"Jaytornah did so much for us, how do you replace him?" coach Jim Ferry said. "You don't. It's going to have to be by committee."
