For the Horns to hook anything in March, big Dexter must deliver
Inside the Bracket is another college basketball resource for ESPN Insiders: It takes fans and would-be tourney prognosticators deeper into the specific teams they need to know for March.
Oh, how times have changed for the Texas Longhorns.
Once considered a top contender, coach Rick Barnes' team is in the midst of a 4-6 skid in February, sliding into a three-way tie for fourth in the Big 12 and a No. 5 seed in Joe Lunardi's latest Bracketology.
Four conference contests remain, though, and two of the opponents (the Texas A&M Aggies and the Baylor Bears) are in the RPI top 15. So the Longhorns' march toward the tournament could take a turn for the better -- or for the worse.
