COACH AND PROGRAM

North Carolina will be marking its basketball centennial this year with numerous events -- including throwback uniforms, a reunion and a charity exhibition game involving alumni currently playing in the NBA -- highlighting the season-long festivities.

But no matter what the school has planned, coach Roy Williams and his team will have a hard time topping the celebration they touched off last April when they routed Michigan State at Ford Field in Detroit to win their second national championship in five years.
