COACH AND PROGRAM

After three years of receding win totals at SMU, there's no doubt the 2009-10 campaign is a big one for Matt Doherty. While getting into postseason contention would be an unfairly ambitious expectation, Doherty acknowledges the pieces are finally in place to move from the bottom of the C-USA standings to at least the middle of the pack.
