The scoop on John Wall
The top prep recruit visits ESPN The Mag and dishes on his upcoming college choice
John Wall led his Word of God (Raleigh, N.C.) team to back-to-back state championships. But that's only part of the reason he has a "short list" of about eight college coaches sweating him as the highest-ranked PG prospect still uncommitted. He put up 22 ppg, 8 apg and 8 rpg last year, but it's been the 6-foot-3 point guard's progression from flashy gunner to reliable playmaker that's made him the most lusted-after prep. Well, that and dunks like this.
Dwon Clifton, bro to Wall's AAU coach, joined the staff at Baylor last summer. UNC, Duke and NC State want to keep him in-state. And Memphis, Kansas, Miami and Oregon could all lure Wall. So where's he going? Wouldn't you like to know.
Video of John's trip to The Mag's offices is for ESPN Insiders.
