With the mass departures of college players to the NBA draft, there is the question that many college hoops fans often ask, "Who is left?" Maybe a better question is, "Who is next?" I picked out 10 interesting freshmen who will have some serious hype following their arrival on campus.
Harrison Barnes, North Carolina
Coach K thought it was a done deal until the last two weeks of recruiting, but Barnes decided that Carolina blue was a better fit. Imagine what his decision might have been like had he waited until the late signing date. With the ink dry for seven months, Barnes takes on a bit of a messiah role with Carolina's future very much in the balance. With questions at the point, a sudden lack of depth inside and the Blue Devils returning two of its big three and getting the best pure point in the country (Kyrie Irving), Barnes, who is very good at everything but not a killer as a scorer, will be a fun watch on Tobacco Road.
