I passed a soapbox on the street today, and I decided to climb onto it.
Every once in a while, I hear that the players of today don't do things as well as the players of yesterday. Well, today's player tends to get a bad rap. The older set seems to believe that team play and fundamentals were better in the good old days, and that the old-school "players" were more skilled and simply better than today's "athletes."
Is sportsmanship lacking in today's game? We have seen plenty of instances in which that's the case, and college basketball needs to pay attention.
