High-level stuff in Maui

LAHAINA, Hawaii -- Gonzaga's 109-106 victory over Michigan State in triple overtime was played at the highest level of college basketball I've seen since the classic 1992 NCAA regional final between Duke and Kentucky.
Ironically, I sat courtside for both games. As an assistant coach for Duke in '92, I watched Christian Laettner beat the Wildcats at the OT buzzer, 104-103. And as a broadcaster Tuesday night, I saw much of the same madness unfold in Maui.
