Quarterback Jarred Fayson (6-foot-1, 195 pounds) of Hillsborough High School in Tampa, Fla. and cornerback Jacques Rickerson (5-foot-10, 175 pounds) of St. Augustine, Fla. have verbally committed to Florida.

Haubert's take: Not a bad weekend if you are a Gator fan. First you take it to your instate rival the Seminoles 34-7, then afterwards you land two of the top skilled players in the state. Possibly the biggest commitment they received was from quarterback Jarred Fayson. With the defection of Jevan Snead a few weeks back, Coach Meyer and his staff were back at the drawing board looking for a quarterback that can handle his system. Well, they landed one in Fayson, a special athlete with outstanding physical tools.

He possesses good arm strength but where he can do the most damage is with his feet. He is quick and has very good speed. He can create mismatches in space and is a threat to score when he runs with the ball. Fayson is one of those athletes who can play multiple positions at the college level but will probably get a serious look from Meyer as a quarterback.
