Secondary strength in California

As usual, there are plenty of athletes to go around in California, and even some of the better offensive players in high school will be moved to the defensive side of the ball, especially the ones with great speed and quickness.

Players to Watch

Two of the best defensive cornerbacks in the country reside in Southern California, and man coverage is their strength. Rancho Cucamonga's Devin Ross is the type of kid who can hold up on an island and is a playmaker on the perimeter. He is also an explosive receiver and kick returner. Ross is a good-looking athlete with great change of direction skills.
