A verbal from Shanel Harrison, No. 62 in the HoopGurlz Hundred for the 2008 class, gives Virginia Tech its second straight recruiting class with a top-100 ranked player.

Hokies coach Beth Dunkenberger, heading into her fourth season at Tech, last year signed Andrea Barbour, the No. 41 prospect in the 2007 class.
