An MRI examination confirmed Wednesday what Caroline Doty already knew following her injury during a high school soccer game last Friday -- she'll need surgery to repair a completely torn anterior-cruciate ligament in her left knee.

But the results did reveal some good news for the Connecticut-bound guard. In addition to learning that she suffered a clean tear to her ACL, Doty was told that the surrounding damage to her knee was not as bad as she initially feared.
