Voronenko's long journey continues

Alina Voronenko's 17-year journey has been one of culture shock, both for her and her family. The class of 2008's No. 53 recruit, according to HoopGurlz.com, was born in Latvia, where she lived for the first six years of her life. Her journey started there, brought her to the U.S. at the age of seven and is now nearing another big change -- a choice of college basketball programs. At 6-foot-2, Voronenko has inside moves but also the handle and long-range shooting accuracy of a guard. She dreams of playing professionally, although she is open to playing in Europe. Before then, she will have another move to make.
