Chelsea Shine, a 6-foot-2 forward from Wayne, Pa., finished up a solid summer with her club team, the Philadephia Belles, and is closing in on her college decision. She recently narrowed her list to a final five of Depaul, Florida State, Miami, Virginia and Virginia Tech and narrowed her list even further this week in preparation for two official visits.
Shine, from Conestoga High School in Berwyn, Pa., is ranked No. 80 in the country, according to HoopGurlz.com. She initially was set to visit all five of the schools on her final list after parting ways with Boston College, who is yet to offer, but has since changed that plan. She will visit frontrunner Virgina on Sept. 8, Virginia Tech on Sept. 15 and expects to make a verbal commitment thereafter and ready herself for the early signing period in November.
