Clark delivers MVP performance in Vegas
LAS VEGAS -- The RBK Create or Finish Cup portion of the Reebok Summer Championships came to a conclusion Tuesday. The day offered some very intriguing team and individual matchups, providing the elite players with chances to prove their mettle and enhance their status in the player rankings.
DC Triple Threat, led by Georgetown commits 6-4 combo-guard Jason Clark (Arlington, Va.) and 6-8 PF/C Chris Braswell (Hyattsville, Md.), defeated the Illinois Wolves in a competitive, defensive battle for the championship.
Clark delivered an MVP-caliber performance in leading his team to the title, placing his imprint on the game through his all-around play. Clark excelled in all facets of the game; scoring when needed, playing tough defense, setting up teammates and rebounding the basketball.
Braswell did not score much in the championship game, but he made his presence felt on the interior by controlling the boards on both ends and shutting down the lane on defense with block shots. The Georgetown-bound duo of Clark and Braswell did a great job of setting the tone for their team.

Buford has a very advanced offensive game and sweet-shooting touch, which he displayed throughout the game. He has good shot selection and makes the game look very easy at times.
• 6-2 PG Arizona commit Brandon Jennings (Mouth of Wilson, Va), in a matchup with the King of the Court's Michigan State-bound 6-8 F Delvon Roe (Lakewood, Ohio), continued his torrid scoring pace as well as impressing with his overall point guard skills. Jennings continued to solidify his status as one of the elite players in the nation.
Roe did not disappoint, dominating the game through scoring, rebounding, as well as blocking shots. Roe plays with an immense amount of energy and intensity, exhibiting a work-ethic that will propel him to a very lofty status as a player.
• 6-8 SF Renaldo Woolridge (North Hollywood, Calif.) had a very strong all-around performance. He continues to show marked improvement on his jump-shot as well as his shot selection.
• 6-5 SG Brett McClanahan (Nitro, W.Va.) is a very good shooter, especially from 3-point range. He has converted from 3-point range at a very high percentage throughout the tournament.
• 6-3 combo-guard Danny Barnes (Oak Park, Ill.) played well in a losing effort in the title game. He has good athleticism, a healthy competitive edge and can score.
• Top individual scorers in the games in Las Vegas were 6-2 G Levi Harris (Colorado Springs, Colo.) with 46 points and 6-8 F Maurice McGee (Riverside, Calif.) notched 44 points.
• 6-8 F Nevada-commit Luke Babbitt (Reno, Nev.) has been one of the top all-around players in Las Vegas, again producing another strong effort on the second day.
• 6-5 G Willie Warren (Fort Worth, Texas) will attend Oak Hill Academy next year. He lists Oklahoma as the front-runner for his services, followed by Texas, Kansas, Louisville, Cincinnati, Marquette, Kentucky and Arizona. Warren and Brandon Jennings have the potential to be regarded as the best backcourt to ever play at Oak Hill
