Many successful athletes appear to be born with the natural tools and gifts to excel at their respected sport and position, while others emerge into prominence after molding and grooming their craft through continuous effort.

In the case of ESPN 150 Watch List quarterback E.J. Manuel (Virginia Beach Va./Bayside), the 6-foot-4 gunslinger has always possessed an innate ability at the position, but the tutelage he has received from Darnell Moore, his head coach at Bayside High, might have him more college ready than any other quarterback prospect in this class.
