Walker leads Gauchos to Arizona Cactus Classic Championship
Tucson, Ariz.
What happened: At the end of the second annual Arizona Cactus Classic and two and a half days of exhaustive evaluating, the New York Gauchos blazed their way to the tournament title over Belmont Shore Basketball Club 102-96. The Guachos, made up mostly of players from Rice high school, played at a relentless pace throughout the event and were led by a fast rising junior point guard in 6-0 Kemba Walker (New York/Rice).
