With the Class of '07 signed, sealed and delivered, it's time to focus on the top prospects in the Class of 2008 (rising seniors). And, although it is very early with plenty of important evaluation events still to come, here are the players who have been impressive so far (players listed alphabetically):
Al-Farouq Aminu, PF (6-8, 210)
Norcross, Ga.
As a junior, Aminu was a key player in Norcross High winning the Georgia state championship. He is a superb athlete with the ability to play either forward position. Aminu was one of the top performers at the NBPA Top 100 Camp last year as a rising junior. He is strong going to the hoop, has an accurate medium range shot and is an excellent rebounder. His older brother, Alade Aminu, plays at Georgia Tech. Al-Farouq is considering the Yellow Jackets, along with North Carolina, Florida, Wake Forest, Georgetown and UCLA, among others.
