Small running backs look large for East squad
SAN ANTONIO --The East coaching staff is not kidding around. For the second day in a row at the morning session, the coaches have gone from five minutes of stretching to full-contact scrimmage with live hitting on quarterbacks. That included a blindside, bonecrushing hit by DE Martez Wilson's (Chicago/Simeon) on QB John Brantley (Ocala, Fla./Trinity Catholic).
Also, QB Tyrod Taylor (Hampton, Va./Hampton) is special, but with five quarterbacks on the east roster and one of them -- Matt Simms (Franklin Lakes, N.J./Don Bosco) -- playing for his high school coach, Greg Toal, in this game, Taylor's snaps Saturday might be severely limited.
