Class of '07 Big East team recruiting needs

While the Bearcats have excellent depth at running back this year and they signed John Goebel out of Birmingham, Mich., running back should be a priority for two reasons. The first is they like to rotate their backs, and the top three are all juniors, so depth is quickly becoming an issue. Second, Goebel might not be ready to start in 2007.

Offensive guard is another position that Cincinnati needs to inject with youth. It did well to sign junior college transfer Ken Rodriguez, but he is adjusting to a new scheme and is already a junior. Even worse, starting LOG Jeff Reinstatler and backup Frank Straub are both seniors.

On defense, the Bearcats did a good job of addressing the safety position this year. However, the secondary still needs work because two of their top four corners including starter John Bowie are seniors.
