Offensive tackle Sam Young (6-foot-8, 295 pounds) from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has verbally committed to Notre Dame.
Haubert's take: Coach Charlie Weis just put the exclamation point on what has been a very good year for the Irish. With the commitment of ESPN's No. 2 rated offensive tackle Sam Young, the Irish just made a great addition to their offensive line and their 2006 class in general.
