Fiesta victory can only help Boise State
Selling Point: Who wouldn't want to play for Boise State after the Broncos' win in the Fiesta Bowl? This is one of the most consistent and winning non-BCS programs with a high-powered offense and home of the famed blue turf.
2007 Class Highlights: To throw the ball, you have to protect the quarterback, and the Broncos are adding offensive linemen. Thomas Byrd (Oakland, Calif./ McClymonds) is a top-20 center prospect, and Cory Yriarte (Westlake Village, Calif./Oaks Christian) is from a top high school program where he protected No. 1 QB Jimmy Clausen. Boise State also is adding prospects at the skill positions, with three running back commitments and two wide receivers. The Broncos, ranked seventh versus the run, are looking to maintain their stout defense with seven defensive commitments from high school prospects. Corner Antwan Murray (Lakeland, Fla./ Kathleen) has good man-to-man skills, but the Sunshine State native will need to buy a jacket.
Could see on the field in 2007: CB Murray, S Garcia Day (Mt. San Antonio College).
