Carolina will adjust after Wright's departure

As the clock continues to wind down on the 2007 spring signing period, officially ending on May 16, 6-8 power forward Patrick Patterson and 5-10 point guard Jai Lucas remain silent. Although rumor and speculation runs rampant about the two top unsigned seniors, there has been no official word from either player or their families about a timetable or date for announcing their college decision. From my sources, it does appear that Patterson and Lucas will likely end up at separate universities rather than signing with the same program as was earlier predicted.
Most of the recruiting attention now is focused upon the Class of 2008, where the Ohio State Buckeyes already have five commitments from top-100 players. Other schools currently enjoying early success include: UCLA, Georgetown, Michigan State, Arizona, Cincinnati, Louisville, Syracuse, N.C. State and Washington.
