Patterson, Lucas hear final pitches

Monday was the last day college coaches could visit recruits during the spring contact period, and the nation's two top still unsigned seniors, 6-8 power forward Patrick Patterson (Huntington, W. Va.) and 5-10 point guard Jai Lucas (Bellaire, Texas) had final in-home visits from some notable callers.
Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski made his final pitch to Patterson on Monday night. The Pattersons had already received visits from Virginia coach Dave Leitao, Florida coach Billy Donovan, Kentucky coach Billy Gillispie, Wake Forest coach Skip Prosser and new West Virginia head man Bob Huggins.
