Patterson may wait until very end

Almost a week into the regular signing period, many of your mailbag questions focused on Patrick Patterson (Huntington, W. Va.), the nation's top-rated unsigned senior. The 6-foot-8, 240-pound power forward, a Parade Magazine and McDonald's All-American and No. 9 overall in the ESPN 150, is still considering five or more colleges, and Patterson is in no rush to trim his list to a top three, much less make a final decision.

This is somewhat the result of coaching changes at two of the schools Patterson is considering, Kentucky and West Virginia, and the decision by Billy Donovan to remain at Florida. The Patterson family is definitely trying to help Patrick make the best decision for his collegiate future and is continuing their information-gathering process.
