Less than a month after the ink has dried on the 2010 recruiting classes, the Class of 2011 is already beginning to come together for a number of programs and one program is already almost finished.
Here's a look at several programs that are off to good starts (in order of how many commits they have), and don't forget to check out all the 2011 ESPNU 150 Watch List players.
For several years, the industry leader in early recruiting has been the University of Texas under Mack Brown. With a pair of junior days in the books, the Longhorns have already secured 17 verbal commitments, including 12 prospects in the ESPNU 150 Watch List with the headliner being 2011 Under Armour All-America defensive tackle Desmond Jackson (Spring, Texas/Westfield). Linebacker Steve Edmond (Daingerfield, Texas/Daingerfield), offensive lineman Sedrick Flowers (Houston, Texas/North Shore) and defensive back Leroy Scott (Houston, Texas/South Houston) join Jackson as prospects that will be highly ranked nationally in the 2011 class.
