Here's a team-by-team look at the Big East conference recruiting classes.

1. Pittsburgh Panthers
The Panthers were close to a Big East championship in 2009 and a top 25 class on signing day. This is a deep class with great three-star quality. Anthony Gonzales (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) is the headline name and top talent. He could develop at quarterback, but this top-20 athlete has the skill-set to play multiple positions. The Panthers also added DT Aaron Donald (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) and OT Matt Rotheram (North Olmsted, Ohio/North Olmsted), who are top-25 players at their respective positions. Dave Wannstedt and his staff did a good job of meeting position-specific needs and are once again showing some success in-state against Penn State.

2. West Virginia Mountaineers
The Mountaineers had a very good class until they caught the decommitment bug down the stretch. They did ink one of the top uncommitted receivers in the country in Ivan McCartney (Miramar, Fla./Miramar). Overall, WVU has some nice, system-fitting prospects, including QB Barry Brunetti (Memphis, Tenn./Memphis University), who might have the best blend of arm strength and athleticism in this class. The Mountaineers signed good speed and athleticism at the skill positions, but improved upfront as well with No. 18 OG Quinton Spain (Petersburg, Va./Petersburg). West Virginia also restocked at linebacker, signing tough downhill filler Troy Gloster (Olney, Md./Our Lady of Good Counsel). To continue reading this article you must be an Insider
