Two of South Florida's most talented teams, Miami Northwestern and Miami Central, will battle in a nationally televised contest Thursday night (ESPN2, 7:30 ET). The two have a fierce rivalry that pits some of the top talent in the Southeast on a yearly basis. This year, Under Armour All-Americans Todd Chandler and Torrian Wilson are the featured prospects, along with five juniors on the ESPNU 150 Watch List.
Here's a look at the recruiting outlook for some of the top prospects in Thursday night's game:
Michaelee Harris, WR: Some guys are just playmakers, plain and simple. That's the case with four-star Harris. Ole Miss, West Virginia, Mississippi State, Kansas, Central Florida and Florida International have offered, but watch out for the hometown Hurricanes, should they show him the love.
Corvin Lamb, RB: Lamb, a three-star back, has many suitors, but North Carolina, Ole Miss, Nebraska and Rutgers are worth a mention. It will be considered an upset if the darting runner doesn't end up at a BCS conference program.
Charles Fashaw, TE: Fashaw has offers from Boston College and Central Florida to date. He is flying under the radar somewhat after being injured in his junior season. Thursday night is the perfect chance for Fashaw to catch the eyes of recruiters.
Northwestern committed players:
• Under Armour All-American and four-star OG Torrian Wilson: Stanford. • Under Armour All-American and four-star DT Todd Chandler: Miami. • Two-star ATH Khambrel McGee: Florida International.
