ESPN College Football Recruiting

The overall talent level in Minnesota is not very deep in 2010, and that has been the norm since we started the ESPNU 150. However, what has become standard in recent years is the production of one or two nationally regarded prospects, which make the Gopher State a must stop for football recruiters across the country.

Current Notre Dame star receiver Michael Floyd was the No. 29 overall prospect on the ESPNU 150 in 2008. Fellow 150 receiver Bryce McNeal (Clemson) followed that up with a No. 9 ranking at the position a year ago. He was joined by Under Armour All-American quarterback Moses Alipate (Minnesota) in 2009 as well.

While those players were certainly respected and coveted on a national level, it's hard to come close to the high-end status of Seantrel Henderson (Saint Paul, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall) in this 2010 class. From a recruiting standpoint, he essentially defines Minnesota by himself this year. The massive offensive tackle is the state's No. 1 prospect, has a five-star rating and shows on film he's deserving of the mass attention he has garnered in the trenches.

Henderson actually heads a strong class up front in Minnesota this year. The top four prospects reside on either the offensive or defensive line. For the most part, the group embodies a good blend of size, strength and athleticism.
