Jennings powers Oak Hill at Hoop Fest

DRAFFENVILLE, Ky. -- Highlights of the three-day 12th annual Marshall County Hoop Fest included the nation's No. 1 high school team, Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.), improving their record to 11-0 with an 83-62 win over Hales Franciscan (Chicago); highly-rated unsigned senior 6-7 G/F Scotty Hopson scoring 24 points to lead University Heights (Hopkinsville, Ky.) to a hard-fought 56-50 win over talented Lafayette, Mo.; and a powerful Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) squad rolling over a very good Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.) team.

Once again high school hoops maestro Steve Woodward orchestrated the nation's best early December event, that included 18 games (5 girls and 13 boys games) played December 6-8 before an over-capacity crowd of nearly 7,000 fans in the impressive Reed Conder Gymnasium at Marshall County High School.
