More misses than hits for ACC teams in Class of '08

The story so far in the ACC has not been which recruits have decided to play in the league but how and why so many top players have turned their backs on some of the top teams in this power conference.

6-foot-8 power forward Delvon Roe (Lakewood, Ohio/St. Edward's) may have been the first recruit to get the ball rolling when he looked to be heading to North Carolina only to pick Michigan State. And just recently, 6-9 forward Greg Monroe (Harvey, La./Helen Cox), one of the most talented players in the Class of 2008, committed to Georgetown without even making an unofficial visit to Duke, one of his top five schools. This was a big loss for Duke because it is very thin in the frontcourt and had targeted Monroe as a top priority for a long time.
