Offseason Moves

The Grizzlies had enough cap space to go after a big free agent but mostly didn't bother, preferring instead to bide their time and save their money for a bigger push next year … or maybe the year after, or the year after that. Their one effort was signing Atlanta's Josh Smith to a five-year, $58 million offer sheet that Atlanta quickly matched.
