One of this year's major playoff storylines is a potential Western Conference finals matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs. Although they've faced off in the postseason only once since 2004, the teams have combined to win the Western Conference in 11 of the past 13 seasons, a testament to the lasting ability of their respective superstars, Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan.
