It goes without saying that the draft is mostly about potential. Which is why age is such a factor in this process. Younger guys simply have more time to get better. There is a clear bias, though, against older players in the draft, as many execs feel that what a player is today at 23, 24, 25, etc., is what he will always be. That is nonsense, as players can improve throughout their careers.
