For NBA players, however, there is no reason to wait until the calendar turns before making adjustments to their games. The best players are doing just that, day after day. This is a fluid game -- mechanical, strategic, athletic and spirited. Rarely does a player get something right with his game then never have to worry about it again. Skills, mechanical flaws, technical errors, effort plays; all come and go over 82 games. The trick is to fix issus as soon as they arrive, and then work to maintain the correct formula as long as possible.
