Dwight-Dubs deal work for Lakers?
One of the finalists bidding for Dwight Howard's services -- the Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers -- is not like the others. While the other teams hoping to sign Howard away from the Lakers could create enough cap space to sign Howard outright, the Warriors cannot realistically do the same. Yet, as our Marc Stein reported today, Golden State made a strong impression with its pitch to Howard. How could the Warriors actually land Howard, and why might it make sense for the Lakers?
