Most NBA teams have at least 10 games in the books, which gives us a nice, round and slightly arbitrary stopping point to bust out the microscope.
Ten games in, which hot starts are legitimate? Which cold spells are for real? History can provide a guide. Ten games into last season, we thought we knew more than we did.
Remember early last season when the Philadelphia 76ers' defense asphyxiated every opponent in its path? Did we forget that the Memphis Grizzlies looked like chopped liver at this juncture last season? Or how about when the Boston Celtics couldn't stop anybody from scoring?
Yeah, 10 games isn't much in the grand scheme of things, but that didn't stop us last season from writing teams off way too early and crowning teams as contenders. So, which team is this season's 76ers? Let's give out the awards.
