February means a few things in the NBA. It's the All-Star break, which is a welcome relief from the hectic schedule. It's the halfway point of the season, when rookies still face the equivalent of a full college season after just completing more than one full college season in just a few months. And it's the trade deadline, which can unnerve young players who are dealing with the "silly season" for the first time.
