Why the Lakers should tank
With L.A. floundering, it should be looking toward the 2014 draft
Welcome to Tankapalooza, Los Angeles Lakers. We've been expecting you.
According to a report from our own Brian Windhorst and Ramona Shelburne, the Lakers and the Cleveland Cavaliers have discussed swapping Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum. No deal is considered imminent, but eyeing Bynum's not-fully-guaranteed contract would be a surefire indication that the Lakers are throwing in the towel on a tumultuous season.
It's about time.
