Postseason MVP rankings: 6-10
6. PAUL GEORGE, PACERS
2014 POSTSEASON STATS
George hasn't shot the ball well in the playoffs. And he clearly isn't as good as LeBron or Durant. (Who is?) But George's effort level has been noteworthy.
George has been flying around the court, getting rebounds, deflections and steals. He's also sharing the ball, which is something the Pacers have struggled with lately.
On top of that, as strange as it may sound, his Instagram message might have helped his team win Game 2 more than anything else. George sent out a picture of Roy Hibbert, George Hill and himself on a fishing trip. And he suggested that any rumors about the guys not getting along were false. Who knows what's really going on, but the post worked -- the Pacers seemed less stressed in Game 2, even when they were stumbling at times.
Thanks to George's contributions on and off the court, the team is a Game 3 win away from breathing easier for the first time this postseason. The win won't come easily, naturally, but at least the Pacers are now shooting for something positive rather than fighting off more demons.
