The Houston Rockets' dismantling of the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 1 of their playoff series included a classic example of a team saving a small, but crucial, adjustment to create an unexpected postseason conundrum for its opponent.
There was some science to it, and it was by the Rockets, but it was by no means rocket science.
