When Michael Jordan is officially enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame next week, he will enter considered the greatest player ever to play the game. But for basketball statisticians, one important what-if about his career lingers: What if he had not retired twice before finally completing his career with the Washington Wizards at the age of 40?
