In a deal announced earlier today, the New Orleans Hornets sent center Tyson Chandler to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for forwards Joe Smith, Chris Wilcox and the rights to 2008 draftee DeVon Hardin. Chandler has missed the last 12 games with a sprained ankle.
Despite being in the playoff picture, the Hornets faced a serious salary cap crunch and were forced to deal Chandler.
