Crawford brings flexibility to Hawks

In position to lose several free agents, the Hawks essentially will add a rotation player at no cost if Wednesday's proposed trade of Acie Law and Speedy Claxton to Golden State for Jamal Crawford goes through.

Law and Claxton were bit players for the Hawks, with Law earning little playing time after being a first-round pick two years ago and Claxton being riddled with injuries. Insurance may pick up part of Claxton's contract if he's unable to play -- he actually suited up at the end of this past season, so he may try to give it a go.
