Five observations as we head into Wednesday night's games:

1. A number of players are up for contract extensions and haven't received them yet, and in a twist this year, their teams get to see them in a regular-season game or two before having to pull the trigger (the deadline is Friday). Notably, Andrew Bynum didn't look like an $85 million player Tuesday night -- although he had three blocks and moved well on D, he also had just eight points and three boards in 28 minutes. Might want to lower those demands some if you want to get a deal done, kid. He'll get one more shot to make an impression Wednesday night against the Clippers.
