1. Let me introduce one wild card in the Amare Stoudemire talks: Detroit.

The Pistons are the only team in position to make what would be an unbelievable deal for the Suns -- taking Shaq and Amare off their hands and giving Phoenix a fresh start this summer. The Pistons could do that by sending the expiring deals of Rasheed Wallace and Allen Iverson to the Suns -- their salaries match almost perfectly -- and would stay under the luxury tax if they threw in Walter Herrmann and the Suns included Matt Barnes (Barnes' name has been appended to many of the Stoudemire scenarios I've heard, actually, and with good reason -- he's on the books for just $797,581).
