NBA Insiders Amin Elhassan and Bradford Doolittle break down the draft profile, needs and potential picks of the 14 teams eligible for the NBA draft lottery this year. With some help from Chad Ford's Big Board of top 30 prospects, we take a look at the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Personnel needs: Superstar power forward (maybe), shooter, interior defender, small forward

Major need: For the sake of this analysis, we're assuming that the comments from Minnesota owner Glen Taylor are accurate: Kevin Love isn't going anywhere before the draft. That being the case, we'll proceed as if he's the cornerstone player going into next season. There's a sliver of a chance (about 0.5 percent) that the Timberwolves will lose their lottery selection because of a pick they owe the Phoenix Suns, who were kind enough to take Wesley Johnson off Minnesota's hands. If Minny goes pickless, we'll know karma is not on its side, but I think we can proceed as if the Wolves will be picking at No. 13.
