Considering how young their players are and how close they came to winning a championship this year, it's easy to suggest the Oklahoma City Thunder might be better off trading their pick in this year's draft for a future one.
Perhaps that is what they will eventually do. However, there still might be value remaining in the talent pool when they choose at No. 28. These are players with lottery-type talent who for one reason or another have fallen in a deep first round. It makes sense the Thunder will look for a high-upside guy rather than someone who at best would fill a specific role.
